He received a doctorate in property economics from the University of Glasgow (Glasgow, UK). He is a member of the Royal
Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). He graduated from the Portuguese Catholic University with a Masters in Business
and Finance and an MBA with a specialisation in Finance and holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the
University of Coimbra.
From his experience in the real estate market the following is distinct: the commercial plan of Parque das Nações for Parque
Expo´98, a market study and concept definition for a macro residential project - Alta de Lisboa for SGAL, an international
study of the residential tourism sector in Portugal for a group of national developers and various studies to define concepts
and provide financial modelling for residential projects (first and second homes).
He is Professor in ISEG/UTL, where he is the co-ordinator of the Masters in Real Estate Management and Evaluation (recognised by RICS).
He is a frequent speaker at the conferences of the American Real Estate Association and the European Real Estate Society.
He has published various articles in international journals in the area of real estate investment and management.

ImoEconometrics Consultant Her professional experience includes a study to define the geographical location for a national network of estate agents, a strategic study for the residential tourism sector in Portugal and a study of the rental market in the residential tourism sector in Portugal for Acordo (Bom sucesso). She has a PhD in Urban Studies from the University of Glasgow (Glasgow, UK) and an MA (hons) degree in Social and Urban Policy from the Department of Urban Studies in the University of Glasgow. She is a researcher in the Department of Geography at the University of Lisbon, her main areas of research include housing markets, residential tourism and migration. |

ImoEconometrics Associate Consultant His professional experience includes applied research in the area of data mining, an area in which he has various publications in international and national journals, the application of descriptive and inferential multivariate statistics, cluster analysis, factorial analysis, multiple linear regression, logistic regression, Cox regression and discriminate analysis. He has worked on projects for ANA - Aeroportos e Navegação Aérea, Ciba Vision, Bausch & Lomb, Medtronic Portugal. He is a professor in the Portuguese Catholic University in the Department of Economy, Business and Social Sciences, where he teaches quantitative methods at undergraduate and masters level. |

She is a visiting associate professor in Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa's Department of Economics and Management and a member of the Research Unit UECE/ISEG/UTL: Unidade de Estudos sobre a Complexidade na Economia. Franco graduated from the Faculdade de Economia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FEUNL), Portugal, with a B.A. in Economics and earned her Ph.D. in Urban Economics from the University of California-Santa Barbara (UCSB), U.S. Prior to joining Lus ó fona, she was a visiting assistant professor at the Department of Economics at Pomona College, U.S. and she also lectured in the Department of Economics at University of California- Riverside (UCR), U.S. Franco has also been a consultant to the World Bank and to the Center for Smart Growth Research and Education, U.S.
Most of Professor Franco's research lies at the boundaries of environmental, urban and public economics, and uses state-of-the-art computable general equilibrium methods and analytical frameworks tools.
Over the past few years, Professor Franco has worked on a variety of topics related to Urban Sprawl and Land Use Change in the U.S. Professor Franco's research has appeared in peer-review journals, including the American Journal of Agricultural Economics and Journal of Urban Economics . |
